So tired.

What do you do when you need to WAKE UP?

I've been so tired lately that by about 5PM, I'm totally crashing. Eyes watering, so exhausted I can't keep my eyes open.

  1. Sounds like you are on stress overload and you need to reset your internal clock. Some tips to try:
    Cut out the caffene (I know I am evil)
    Turn off the tv, radio, and turn down the lights 1 hour before you plan to go to bed.
    Try meditating before bed (light a candle sit on a pillow on the floor and focus on the candle, breath in and out for 10-20 minutes)
    When you wake up get up, even if its hours before your alarm.
    Stick to a bed time and try to keep a wake up time (even on the weekends and vacation).
    Check your iron level and intake, check your B vitamin levels
    Take a break.

  4. Sometimes, especially if I have been drinking a lot of coffee, water works. It's like it gives all the caffeine something to float on. Otherwise, a short 20 min nap (+/-)can really kick me over the edge to life again.
