Sapphire (the baby, she's 3) went to bed with no problems whatsoever, though. So I guess it's only half a fail? I don't know. Sometimes I wonder what Gracie's deal is. We will try again tomorrow night.Sadiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05681377865295537006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7315481352610974991.post-24693959842469262522010-02-24T21:54:40.556-06:002010-02-24T21:54:40.556-06:00To this day I wish my parents had at some point re...To this day I wish my parents had at some point resorted to bribery.....and no I don't feel like I am a better person because they refused to give me money for good grades etc. So I wouldn't be concerned about the "bribery" you are doing, which sounds like you are simply tricking them into more quality family time. Well done.Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16169659895652699244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7315481352610974991.post-49840321932681493852010-02-24T18:50:45.241-06:002010-02-24T18:50:45.241-06:00Sadie - cut yourself some slack. What your practicing is the lost art of positive reinforcement, good behavior earns priviledges and rewards (like fun time) and bad behavior loses it. Hope this works out for you.Tree Huggin Mommahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08473115182978929738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7315481352610974991.post-3030729526860353232010-02-24T18:14:08.994-06:002010-02-24T18:14:08.994-06:00Wow! I feel like an evil parent when I resort to the TV method but it does seem slightly more environmentally friendly then driving her around!Everyday Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05463498796184060882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7315481352610974991.post-73524180152265565162010-02-24T14:55:24.129-06:002010-02-24T14:55:24.129-06:00Grace is almost 5, so I thought about phasing naps...Grace is almost 5, so I thought about phasing naps out for her - but when she doesn't have one, she causes WAY too much trouble later in the evening. I'm really glad this has worked so far. :)Sadiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05681377865295537006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7315481352610974991.post-4164850532482099082010-02-24T14:33:12.220-06:002010-02-24T14:33:12.220-06:00my son loved naps...my daughter quit taking them a...my son loved naps...my daughter quit taking them at 18 months...we just had rest time...had to lay down for atleast 30 minutes...no getting up...no causting problems..she would look at books..color or just snuggle her babies...I got a break...she got a rest...it was nice...Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11745604261113221887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7315481352610974991.post-14284105822711228592010-02-24T14:06:07.503-06:002010-02-24T14:06:07.503-06:00Awesome! let me know how it works out!Awesome! let me know how it works out!SB~the origianl bunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03323246544412035577noreply@blogger.com
